I'm not a very patient person, so I tend to think of big things in small steps to help pass the time along. Pregnancy has been no different. I look forward to every Thursday, knowing it will be a new week and I can read an update on the babies' development. I greatly enjoyed getting past 13 weeks, as your risk for miscarrying goes down (not that anything is a guarantee, but it's good for my mental health). 20 weeks was fun too, as it meant we would get to have our ultrasound. 28 weeks was another milestone, as their survival rate is near 100% at that point, should they come early.
This week's milestone: making it to January 1st without any hospital time. I've got 12 hours yet to go, but things are looking good. My inner cheapskate did not want to pay for 2 deductibles, out of pocket maxes, etc., so I've been saying for a long time that I just want to make it to January 1st. Lord willing, all baby expenses will be on the same year! Woohoo! I'm so grateful to have made it this far (33 weeks) without any complications. Next milestone: nothing big is allowed to happen until Sunday, as Joey will be back then!

You made it to Jan 1. Congrats! I love you Jamie! Aunt Kari
ah, you just answered my question from the last post, about Joey.:)
I had to make it through my midwife being gone for a week near my due date, but having my husband gone would be worse I think! No worries, you'll be fine!:)
Keelie - so far, so good. One more day to go and then we can breathe a sigh of relief! At this point the wedding is over and I'm guessing they are in the middle of a reception, so worse case scenario, he could leave now and hopefully not miss too much :) I'm just now putting the finishing touches on the babies' room, so we're almost all set! I'll post pictures when I'm all done.
Woo-hoo! You made it into January. I hear ya with the deductibles and such. Can't wait to see pictures of the babers' room. :)
